More Kitchen Stuff

I graduated yesterday and the gifts have been rolling in... so naturally I'm ready to buy some things for my new place.  Here are a few more things I found for the kitchen.  I don't know why, but I'm most excited about the kitchen...
I would use these aprons as curtains.  My momma got me some super cute material to make my very own apron, but I thought these would be cute in the windows :)

This is a Japanese Owl Bell... isn't he cute :)

Looking Forward

I am so super excited about having a place of my own :) Here I just a few lovely things I want in my new place:

Candelabra - pretty :)

Wall Hanging - I think I can make it on my own in colors that match my house, but I love the simplicity of it!

Moe - a friend for Milo (eventually!)

I hope I get to hang up my house numbers for my address... I just love these!

And finally, the coolest vase ever!  I want to have fresh flowers in the house as often as I can!

Thanks for letting me share... I've got a big training tomorrow at Hollister.  I'm so excited to meet everyone I'll be working with :)  I hope they like me!

Kitchen

I am SO excited about having my own kitchen!  I love, love, love baking and I think I'll really like cooking when I have more opportunity to cook (right now my mom does all the cooking).  On a rainy Saturday, my Momma and I were wandering through a flea market and I found this little, antique, yellow-handled hand mixer.  This small piece is what I'm basing my entire kitchen design off of.  I love the idea of being a stay at home mom, 50s, June Cleaver style.  So that's what I want my kitchen to look like, even though I won't be a mom for a while.  Here are some things I want in my kitchen:

I love this silverware.  I love that it doesn't match.  It's quirky :)
Dish rack: because I won't always have a ton of dishes for the dishwasher, plus it's super cute!
How cute are these measuring cups?!
I love the yellow mug!  The mug with the K on it is blue, but I think it'll still match.
He is just too cute... and a bit too expensive for my tiny budget, but I'm thinking I could find something similar in a flea market/thrift store/garage sale...
A yellow owl tray - I love owls.  This will be perfect for fresh baked chocolate chip cookies :)
I know I'm straying from 50s - ish style, but I love, love, love these plates!

I also love these!  The whole 36 piece set is just $25!

A trivet - I don't know what it's job in the kitchen is, but it's very pretty and I really want it!
That's all for now... I can't wait to show you what I want in the rest of the house!  and my classroom! :)  I hope you enjoy!!!

A New Adventure

I'm on the brink of a big adventure...

Turning the page...

Starting a new chapter...

Turning over a new leaf...

There are so many ways to put it and there are so many ways this could go.   I just want to be able to share my new journey with you.  On Tuesday, I turn 24 years old.  On Friday, I'm graduating from college.  And on August 11, I start my first real job.  Shortly after that, I will be moving into my own apartment/duplex/townhouse.  All of this in just a short 4 months.  Whew... I'm so excited, but I know this will be exhausting.  So before I get caught up in all the business that my life is about to come I want to blog pictures, ideas, musings that I can come back to when I start decorating my classroom and my new home.  Plus I'm so loving finding plates and curtains and paintings and things that I just have to share with someone :) So, here we go!
